SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY


In mobile market, there are ample of smart phones available of different companies. There are so many cell phones available at low prices but still people like to use Samsung more. The main reason behind this is the status, knowledge and experience. Samsung exist in the market from last so many years and that’s why it knows demand and needs of the customers very well. Every time Samsung come up with great innovations in the market and compete with rivals. Samsung uses different strategies to advertise its products. In past blogs, I discuss about its push and pull strategy and various campaigns launched by the organization to make people aware about its presence in the market. Apart from those, here I would like to discuss its social media strategy that how Samsung uses social networking to popularize its products and services. Social media plays a crucial role for every business. Facebook, twitter, you tube are social networking sites through which Samsung advertise its products. As nowadays, everyone is connected with Facebook. Facebook Samsung has an official Facebook page and there are more than 3 million fans of it. On its page it provide information about its upcoming products and product catalog. Organization also upload videos to give complete description of the product. Sometimes it post various design to get feedback from the customers according to their likings. Cover picture of Samsung page is always the upcoming items or launches. It does not allow customers to post on its page but they can comment to provide their feedback. Not only has the Facebook, Samsung also had fans followers on twitter. Organization add post more on twitter than Facebook. Social media has a great influence on Samsung revenues. Samsung is doing its best in social media strategy but still there are some factors which should also be kept in mind. (Zubair, 2015)

Samsung introduces some campaigns to advertise its products and services. Here we will discuss some of them.
Samsung came up with a useless bid campaign to encourage its new tab2 310. This 7 inch tab was launched so that people using other devices could get rid of their laptops, TV, camera, telephone and get attracted towards it and start using it. Components of this new tab2 were communicated in YOU TUBE ads to make people to sell off their other devices. A game was added that permit individuals to offer or bid low prices for the futile items in order to won a tab2. Then their offers were shared on Facebook. Here, Samsung used useless bid strategy to advertise its products or to attract customers and it was a sharp thought of Samsung and the motivation of winning another tablet is absolutely enough to urge individuals to participate. (Naidu, 2012)
Samsung introduce a campaigns known as Galaxy 11 in which it joined world’s top footballers to advertise its products. .A devoted minisite permits users to see the Samsung Galaxy equipment’s that the group will utilize, watch recordings of the players and join the group by making a shareable picture of themselves in a spacesuit. In this way this campaign advertise the Samsung product to a great level with the help of players. (Samsung Galaxy 11 campaigns, 2014)

Moreover, Over to you is another campaign that highlights Samsung's utilization of social and online groups to advance its new items. Galaxy S4s was given to the 12 outstanding blogger, sports individuals and you tubers so that they can make content with the help of cell phone and share it with their supporters.

PUSH AND PULL STRATEGIES OF SAMSUNG

Samsung uses many strategies popularize its products among people. Here, I am going to discuss two major strategies used by Samsung to promote its products and services. These are known as push strategy and pull strategy. Both strategies are promotional strategies to bring the product to its target market.
Push strategy states that an organization put its efforts or pushes a product with the help of advertisements and other strategies such as sale. Organizations such as coca cola and Nike, Samsung also adopt this strategy by contributing money more on classic advertising. This is very clear from the advertisements like old mediums includes print and new mediums which include online networking. In other words, push strategy takes the product in front of the buyers in form of advertisements. This strategy is applied by the company so that people can be aware about the existence of new products or upcoming products in the market. (Yeung, 2016)
Samsung also uses pull strategy to which means that through social networking, organization make efforts to keep up relationship with the buyers. Samsung also use Accounts on social networking sites to make latest declarations and announcements about their products so that consumers can be up to date with the information and strong relationship can be maintained with them. It also help to get feedback from the consumers. In addition to this, company also cooperates with the retailers and bearers in other nations to provide them assistance to sell Samsung galaxy products particularly through strategy known as sales promotion. These both strategies helps to create demand for the product in the market and are significant for the Samsung Company. (Yeung, 2016)

ADVERTISING STRATEGIES FOR SAMSUNG BUSINESS- AN INTRODUCTION



Before discussing about the role of advertising strategy in Samsung business we need to understand what is advertising and advertising strategies.
Advertising means popularizing a product or service among customers. It keeps eye on one particular product or service. Different plans are used for different products so that more and more customers can be attracted. (Mcnamara, n.d.) It perform many functions such as giving information about the product’s identity to the customers, attracting them to make purchases, compare prices of other products with their product and so on. (Zkjadoon, 2016). When any company advertise its products, it have many objectives to achieve. The main goal is to attract customers toward products. Advertising mainly focus on to incline the sales and profits of the company. For example, Internet businesses do not have sales departments and they make huge use of advertising to inform the people about their products. They can earn more profit only if there products are successfully advertised. (Suttle, n.d.)
An advertising strategy can be characterized as an outline which helps to sell products and services to the potential buyers. There are several strategies which can be used to attract more and more consumers through advertising and every company use its own distinct strategy plan. (Vaux, n.d.). There are several advertising strategies used by different advertisers to make more customers. Here, we will talk about the advertising strategies used by the SAMSUNG business.
Only a couple of years ago Samsung was attempting to get up to speed in the cell phone market. In year 2013, it makes a greater amount than any other individual and has Apple on the back foot, and has become the world's biggest innovation organization by income. The intensely advertised dispatch of its lead Galaxy S4 cell phone is the most recent step as it tries to overwhelm Apple, and they've run full scale with a gigantic screen and noteworthy new components. There are so many strategies that SAMSUNG adopts to make itself famous. (Nisen, 2013)
Samsung is superior to any other individual at learning from its rivals. It does not mean that they do not focus on their customers but they are exceptionally very sensitive to what competitors are doing and what other individuals are taking into the market first and clearly observe those things and at last launch their new version from that innovation. (Nisen, 2013)
